2013 projects:
I bought a 72 greenbrier wagon for the frame to replace the rusted out frame on the 72 el camino that I gave my grandson to restore; but the longer I looked at the wagon the more it grew on me.
Long story short, we found a rust free frame from a 70’ el that we bought.
The wagon was pretty tired, needed motor and transmission, had been side swiped on driver side and the front fenders were buckled from a front end collision that took out the grille.
I started with a 305 out of 86 camaro looking for better mileage, and then I put a 350 trans. that my grandson rebuilt for me behind the 305 and installed it in the wagon.
It runs, but I haven’t got all the bugs out yet.
I hope to get all the mechanicals fixed so it’s road worthy this next spring, then tackle the body repairs and interior upgrade.
I also have a 69 el camino that I have most of the parts needed to restore it.
I hope I can get a good start on it this next year too.
