grandsport, could your point out the things under the hood that are wrong. I am not familiar with Chevelles and am learning, and I plan to have the dealer correct as best they can, or do it myself when I get the car, what ever is wrong with the car. I want it to represent what a 1970 Chevelle SS396 Convertible would look like off the showroom floor, with a little custom touches. Is the cowl not supposed to be painted blue? Is the underhood supposed to be black instead of body color? I noticed the cowl induction seems to be in an open position in all the pics, is that right? Shouldn't it be closed until vacuum causes it to open? What I'm trying to do is take a nice car, and make it nicer. I have no designs to create a clone and try and pawn it off as an original to someone else. When I switched by small block Corvette over to a big block, I made sure to call it a tribute and not an original; did some custom paint touches so it was more apparent. I think this Chevelle was a rotissere restoration (there is documentation and pictures of that), but not back to origianal. I think the previous owner pretty much built it from parts he may have had or got for a reasonable price. I pretty much did the same thing with my Vette. Keep the comments coming; you are all such a help in this. Thanks, Nick
