So would these heads be OK to use with an edelbrock rpm cam and intake or should I try to find a set of vortec heads? I'd kinda like to raise the compression up some since these are 74cc heads and was thinking maybe putting two eyebrow pistons and .015 head gasket?

That cam is archaic, get yourself a Clay Smith legend series Camshaft. I just helped a friend do a 350 with one of their cams. It greatly exceeded our expectations. His set up is a ZZ4 short block, aftermarket vortec heads (2.02/1.60 valves, 185cc runners, made by ProMaxx) Clay Smith hydraulic roller, comp roller tip rockers, performer rpm air gap, 750 dp holley, 1.75" headers. We were shooting for 425-430. It made 475, and 510 tq. It's going to be a handfull.
