Question Long or short water pump

Looking to find out how I determine if I need a long or short water pump for my 1972 - 307ci.? It has A/C and auto transmission. Plan on using a aftermarket flex fan.

Are the accessories tucked up real close against the motor? long pump brings the accessories tighter into the motor. Short pump has accessories further away from block and uses longer belts.

To see what your current one is you can measure the distance from the surface that mounts to the block to the hub where the pulley mounts. Short=5 5/8" Long=7"
