Smile speedo needle waving back and forth

anybody had this problem i have a 67 chevelle ss with a turbo 350 trans in back of a 1972 402 speedo has been restored and new cable needles waves when picking up speed thanks

Pull the cable out at the speedometer and spray white lithium grease in the cable housing, also make sure you have enough cable inter cable into the trans.....it worked for me.

thanks Ric for advice hate to say this it didnt help i have replaced cable and added transducer to cable going into trans i am wondering if the cable like you said is not in trans enough i just cannot tell i have replaced speedo altogether and getting same results so i feel it is cable or bad gears it seems steady when travelling when i stop and take off it jumps from 0 to 50 in quick flashes i am lost and frustrated any more would be welcomed and please have a merry christmas and a blessed new year thanks agian

I pushed the cable from the top to verify it seated and then it did not do it anymore.

Ric i will give that a try, do i do the pushing from the cale attached to trany and push it as far up as possible .thanks again
