Default So, I'm rebuilding the 307....

Everyone says to junk the 307 and go with a 350 or LS1 or etc... so for this reason I'm keeping the 307 I want to build a fairly nasty 307 (keep all jokes to yourself lol) From what I've been reading, you can use 305 HO heads or vortec heads on the 307? I'm not familiar at all with an engine build, so I would appreciate all input and advice. I also read that if you bore the 307 you can put 327 pistons in and the stock crank on a 307 is a 327 that is like .10 or .20 under bore? Anyways, all advice will be greatly appreciated. Again, the goal is a bad@$$ 307 that will be daily driven with A/C. Thanks everyone!
