Shaving drip rails

.... I'm thinking about it. Before some purist starts wagging their finger at me let me say I dont think altering the looks of a ho-hum Malibu is gonna send me to the gates of hell ... anyhow it looks subtely cool in my book and will fit right in with "resto" look of my planned build.

I decide not to go with the SS454 over-used car. I do not think the country will miss another SS clone.

So my questions... anyone done it? I am talking a 70 Chevelle and want to avoid any problems with the modification.

Any input appreciated.

I am also planning on shaving the side marker lights.
