Default Front springs

Been fighting the way the the Chevelle sits with the new front springs in it. Something just was not correct, infact it was 3" to high with the motor in it. So I went back and looked at my receipt and the numbers seem to be for a 70Cutlass 442 heavy duty, with air. Anyone know the height difference in the springs between the two car. My car doesn't have air so it looks like I get to tear the front end apart again.
