Will cat scratches buff out?

I went into the garage and found the cat locked in there. The cover was on the floor, and there were 2 paws worth of scratches on the trunk side of the rear quarter on the driver's side. The little cat is lucky it came with 9 lives. That was a joke. Anyways, will my paint guy be able to buff them out or whatever?
