Default My toys

This looks like a cool thread, thought I'd follow a few of my buddys and post some pics of my cars. Sadly non are running right now, the 12 bolt is out of my '70, the drive train is out of the '66, and the Nova has a cracked radiator and has not been fired in over six years.

I forgot how nice your '66 is, Mike. In fact, they are all really nice rides. I especially like the rims on your '70 in the fourth picture...

Thanks John, I almost kept those solids. They where in great condition for early style chrome cragers.

The '70 when I found it,

This is my goal, trying to save enough coin to complete the look in a couple years.

If it's the cool aftermarket shifter in the factory auto console, I sure do remember it! I'v been trying to copy the look for mine since last week, just now getting around to making it happen. It's the best conversion of an aftermarket shifter I'v seen yet!

Soooo... what are you running in the '66? I see some fuel filters and such under the rear... just wondering...

(Beautiful cars!)

Nothing too wild. It had a strong running small block, th400, 4:10 gears in the 12 bolt. I now have a 454 4bolt block all machined up and bored .030 over to be built and a Tremec TKO600 5 speed sitting on the bench. The cars original 396 had a rod hanging outside the block when I bought the car.

Cool... I missed that one... I was looking at Mike's "as purchased" pictures above, and the interior shot reminded me I have to figure how to mount the aftermarket shifter in the stock console...

GREAT idea, removing the lense... I was almost thinking I'd have to fabricate some kind of "ring" to fit in that space where the stock cover goes...

Any "close-ups"? I'd like to see what you did (if anything) where the stock shifter goes through on each side...

Tony

I really like Mike's '66... brings back memories of my first Chevelle back in the mid-80's ( not the greatest picture)

Looks like a similar color ( Mike's is how I remember mine looking)... I know what I'll be dreaming about tonight...
