Dave- I forgot to add- An automatic transmission's worst enemy is heat buildup. The best thing you can do to keep this thing healthy and give it a long life is to put a big transmission cooler in front of the radiator but also make sure the fluid runs through the factory in-radiator tank unit as well. What kind of power are you putting out? The 2004R was the same trans that was in the 80's Monte SS and Grand National / T-types.
