Like you said the big block has that "WOW factor". But there are some small blocks that have a wow factor too. Are you planning on making the motor "pretty" or "beefy". I think that your budget will have a lot to do with your decision. I know it is easy to spend a lot of money on the motor, and my suggestion is to make a list with your pro's and con's before you start this adventure.
