With the new hydro-boost set up coming and now that vacuum is no longer of importance, I made a call to one of the popular camshaft makers with some proven combos over on TC.
Chris Straub is designing a new cam for the 496 that according to him may not give me much more in the way of peak power but said it will be much more noticeable across the power range and give me a power band that is 5-600 RPM greater in both directions. Duration should stay pretty close to the current 240/244 but will be on a 107 LSA vs the 110. Everyone who has a Straub stick seems more than pleased with it so I am hoping for good things! "Hi.
