I just did that same thing a week before Christmas Jake, it was delicious. Although I sauted my beef first, then used a red wine to deglaze the pan I sauted with and poured that over the beef in the roaster as well.
We brought it over to my grandmas house, Had a great dinner with her, and then took her out for a few hours looking at christmas lights. Shes 86 now and wont drive at night anymore, so she hasnt been able to see Christmas lights in a few years. It was a great night for sure. Jeff
