I used the american auto wire classic update. The directions were easy to follow and all the needed connectors and gromets came with the kit. There is plenty of extra length in each harness so you can route it differently if desired.
I also have the SSBC disc conversion kit. It was easy to install and is working well. Just the base kit for me so i can't comment on any of the other aspects of you question.
