Ken, I tried looking up the mirror flake in the paint and couldn't I find a thing about it. Only thing I came up with was that some company came up with something called "diamond dust" in the 60's or so but it was outlawed because of the silica in it and you can't buy it anymore. I like both colors a lot so it's really hard to decide but I'm kinda somewhat leaning towards the original color since I've yet to see one locally painted that color. Mestorod, the darker blue actually does already have the pearl in it, it's just hard to tell if your not in the direct sunlight. Since I've decided to paint the car myself, if I don't like how it turns out or I get tired of it, I'll change it down the road. I'm actually going to look at another chevelle tonight which is a 72 that looks to be in about the same shape that the one I have now was when I bought it. Take a closer look at it this evening.
