John, I am thinking that will be a long trip for you. I understand fully about Joan not being there. Can you think of anyone that might like to ride along? Any younger guys in your neighborhood that have an interest in the older cars? Got a buddy that would like to get away for a few days?

You know ,it is very strange now days to be me ,everyone that used to like to hang around with me has found an excuse to not since Joan died .Maybe people dont know what to say or do but I can tell you it makes for a lonely time .Nobody wants to travel either .My great nephews like old cars but they are too busy with sports to think of anything else .

That car is beautiful. You do nice work. If I had an extra engine sitting around, I'd give it to you just to see that beauty done.

I have been so busy with the move and we have had internet problems.
I just have to get back to pimping the site and it will pick up again.

Hope you and Dave are doing well, good to hear from you.

Got a call yesterday that my uncle passed away. So we had to go up to the Masonic home in Alma, Mi. Just went by there a few days when we went up north for the 4th. Had tp go through his personal belongings and bring home some it. Except for the bed all the furniture was his. Some we donated to the home some we hauled home. We did stop and see him Memorial day weekend but not this time. All he wanted to do was sleep and be left alone. Guess he passed peacefully during the night so that was good.

Busy day, busy week, busy month. I'm sure it will slow down eventually, damn well better.

I went through that recently. My brother in law died. He was only a year older than me. I was down and not really online posting. I didn't because my temper was not what it should be.

I am recovering finally.

this is a 68 malibu that i saved from sitting outside under a canvas tarp
it sat under the tarp for 7-years before i could purchase it.
it had a 307/2bbl/glide combo that caught fire, i think they just walked away from the car;
after having it for several years and driving it in a damaged condition
this is what i ended up with before it was sold.
ss-hood; m21; 350-crate; 12bolt-3.55; not quite finished when sold, it was fun car and an investment

Love it. My favorites are the 68 and the 66. I had 7 66's as it was my first car. The 68 I grew up in mom and dad had one. Blue with black vinyl top. Wonder where my cars colors came from? LOL. This is my second 68. I have had many chevelles of anything earlier than 69 before the prices went stupid.
