Nice combo set up. I need one of those trucks for my car. Beats a trailer.

I love this thing! I have all the stuff I need at the track in the storage boxes (jump box, air tank, inverter, jack & multiple stands, crate full of fluids & sprays, etc.) and while parking is not easy due to the length, it is much easier to back in and out of spots.

It's a Damn good thing you bought that roll back! What rear axle is under the car? 12 bolt?

Also glad I was only about 5 miles from home!

Has a 12 bolt (Eaton Posi, Moser Axles & Richmond 3.42 gear, 1350 billet yoke)

Summit's site is limited in doing a 3 series gear swap but I ended up ordering another Richmond gear, only this time it will be a 3.73 (now I can calibrate my speedo from a laptop!)

May I also suggest a girdle/support cover and axle tube braces. It's a heavy car with tons of torque.

I have an Eaton 4 series posi in my Chevelle with Strange 3.73 gears. I believe Strange offers 3.08, 3.42, 3.73, 4.10, etc for a 4 series carrier.

Like one of these?

Been on there the whole time to help keep those main caps in place.

The car has a 3 series carrier - could have gone to a 4.10 gear (and may have been the better choice given the probability of putting in a T56 in the next year) but the 3.73 should be a decent gear for the track & highway with the current combo.

Yeah, it wasn't the end of the world and agreed, the car combo is not bad to drive around and still looks good! I debated getting the ramp truck painted the same color but not sure it would really look that good. Also though about reversing it and doing Forest Green strips on a cowl hood. May just leave it alone.... I do know A/C is getting installed before this summer!!

Those covers help, but I feel you are getting flex in the housing and axle tubes.
