I looked at my new starter today and wished it would install itself.

Seems like all I ever do to mine is dust it off. Tane and I finally bought out the other two partners in our company so now I don't have a lot of spare time to tinker with or even drive the Chevelle. I said something to her the other night about possibly selling it but she thinks I will end up regretting that, she's probably right.
I just hate seeing all of that money sitting in the garage and not enjoying it.

Saturday was in the high 50's. I was dreaming all day about driving my car. Too bad it was just a pipe dream cause today will be back in the 30's with sleet and ice.

I did start my wish list for this year though.

Got the oil pan welded up yesterday and then spent the remainder of the day cleaning up the Chevelle. Took all 4 wheels off the car, put it on jack stands and really cleaned everything up. Then decided to put the lighter wheels on.

Well today I was on the way to a cruse-in this morning when I blew the ring & pinion out of the rear-end.... The light turned green and I just eased into the throttle at first and then planted the pedal to the floor. The car shifted from 1st to 2nd at about 6200, and then the rear gear said no thanks. Guess it didn't appreciate the added traction of the ET Street Radials too much.

Had to get my ramp truck, but I still made it to the cruise-in!

Guess I am going to swap out the 3.42 for a 3.73 now.

Nice combo set up. I need one of those trucks for my car. Beats a trailer.

I love this thing! I have all the stuff I need at the track in the storage boxes (jump box, air tank, inverter, jack & multiple stands, crate full of fluids & sprays, etc.) and while parking is not easy due to the length, it is much easier to back in and out of spots.
