It was raining real hard so I opened the door let my son watch the rain. It is coming down hard. Well it stops and there is a very small thunder sound I mean sounds like 10 miles off.
Well my son gets all excited and says hey dad check it out the light knocked down the tree. I am sitting 3 foot behind him at the door in my chair. I am like what Yea yea whatever. Then I hear the CRRRRAAAACCCK of the tree branch falling. Well he kept going on. I got up and looked. Sure enough Big branch across the house across the streets drive. I said the light did that huh. Smoke still coming off the part where it is still kinda attached to the tree.
I got a picture on the net of lightning and said is that what you saw. Yea dad.

Quietest strike I ever heard. LOL.

Yesterday before the storms it was between 80 n 85. Storms came in and it cooled a little. Slept with the window open and ceiling fan going. Today I hate to say it (and wont tell my wife) I had to turn on the heat. It finally got up to 54, cloudy and windy.

It's crazy isn't it Ken. We had the door wall in our bedroom open, day and night for days. Yesterday had to turn the furnace on, what a lousy day it was. Not supposed to be much warmer today but maybe a little sun. Sun always makes it seem better.

Cool here, but warmer at the beginning of the week. Hoping for dry weather tomorrow to go to a small show down the street for a free lunch.

Weather has been in the 80's this weekend and this week started out in the 90's. No rain in sight for the rest of the month according to the weatherman. Fire danger started 3 weeks early and if it continues to be dry we are going to have a water shortage.

Seems like we get some rain everyday and I'm really getting tired of it. Tomorrow is only day this week they're not predicting rain. It is so damp and humid here. Yesterday morning the stainless steel doors on the frig were wet with condensation. We've had that frig 7 or 8 years, never seen that before yesterday.
