We are now getting very high winds and temps falling into the teens .I hope we dont lose power from trees falling on power lines .Its hard to get rid of this stuff when temps barely get to above freezing .Things here are pretty much shut down because the roads are so bad.

So far our high today has reached 27 with strong winds ,but the wind does help to dry the roads .Our county road crews have finally got the roads cleared enough that I can go to work tomorrow .They have done a great job with the limited equipment they have available to them .We are not used to this much snow with the cold temps behind it to keep it from thawing .Im so ready to get back to work as cabin fever has been tough to deal with.Im ready for spring ,Ive seen enough cold and snow .I cant cut and split fire wood fast enough to get ahead .

We got about 4" last night and I was out and about. When I got home I shoveled a little bit, figuring that I would get the snow blower out today. David and I went out for a couple hours and when I got home, my neighbor had snow blown my whole driveway and all the sidewalks. I live on a corner and he did it all. Made my day !

Weatherman said snow yesterday when we were at 32 degrees, it warmed up and rained 1.6 inches in the last 24 hours. We hit a high of 53 today. Going to be in the 50's the rest of the week and through the weekend. May have some flooding now since the rains are going to be going on for the next week.

Im enjoying my 2nd day of work this week and we should reach a high in the mid 40's so maybe this awful white stuff will begin to melt. The roads are finally safe to manuever again and things will be back to normal soon I hope. Hope all is well with the rest of ya'll and you can travel safely ,which all ya'll in the northern states are apparently better equipped for this stuff.

Not sure which is worse all the snow or all the rain we are getting. Had high winds and it blew off my tarps at the beach house and the house is soaked inside. Going to buy new tarps and try to get it recovered before the next rain storm in a few hours.

Was outside for an hour today puting tarps on the roof to keep the rain out. Might as well taken out a bar of soap with me. By the time I got back in I was soaked to the bone. We will need Noah's Ark if this keeps up. Another 2 inches of rain or more today. This is not a normal winter for us. Flooding will happen if this keeps up.

Winter sucked a little less here today ,temps in the high 40's .Got to the grocery store and restocked ,got some gas for the old beater truck . Then took the tractor out to a nearby subdivision and cleared the snow and ice off their roads for them. They were happy to see the crap being scraped away and I was having fun doing it.
