Hey All. I just found this photo. This is the reason for the 1972 Virginia plate on the front of my wagon. To pay tribute to this Chevelle I owned back in 93 when I lived in Va. I never got to register those plates for that car and I really was looking forward to doing that back then. I knew there was a reason why I kept them all of these years.

I think that is so cool that you have the pics. To bad they didn't have you in them, I love seeing pics of people in the 70's, and the creative cloths and hair.

Something about the dog dishes doesnt seem right .... were the centers painted?

Keep in mind that so many elky parts interchange with the wagon when you look for fenders, etc .... same wheelbase/chassis also.

Good lucK

Yea, I am not liking the wheels very much. They were on it what I got it. I am starting a new job (After being out of work for close to 3 years) on Tuesday. So I hope to have some new wheels and tires on this very soon.
I have these 70s vintage 15x7 Ansen Sprints.

These are left over from my 71 Camaro project I sold. We custom painted them PPG toner black with a clear coat because they were very marked up and unfixable. So I body worked them and my buddy who paints hot rods for a living shot them. Then I had the pinstriper for his shop do the electric blue pinstripe by had. For a pizza. LOL! He is one of the top pinstripers in the west. I think he would have normally gotten about 2 to 5 hundred for that. There are some things I miss about working in a custom paint shop.
They were working for me for my Camaro. It was going to be painted Petty Blue. Very close to the Grabber blue you see on the new Mustangs. That is why the Blue strip on the wheels. But I am not feeling it for my wagon. But they are the only wheels I have right now.
I might be getting a set of 82-84 Z/28 Aluminum wheels and tires from a friend of mine that has them on his project as just rollers. He will be getting his wheels and tires for that car soon and will not be needing those. So he is going to let me have them. They might work on it. But either way. They will be better then these thin little 14s I have on it now.

Those look like mid 80' S10 hub caps. Cool family hauler, a guy in the local car club has a gold 71'. I always walk by it and think, "Man that car is HUGE."

I have not post on this in quite a wile. Since the last reply I made. A lot has happened with the car. I had an engine problem back in Sept. So I have spent all of my extra money and more on getting a rebuilt engine and installed. I am almost done with it and should have it runnin gagain this week.
Here are a few pics I took last week. You can also see that I have replaced the marker light lenses.

I ended up selling those Ansen wheels. I got a pair of corvette ralley wheels for $70.00 with the rings and caps. I have been looking for another pair. but they are hard to find just 2 for a good price. So I am looking into getting 2 reproductions. I am going to put them on with BFG T/As.

Thanks!
Man, I do not see them around here. I find nothing but sets and they want way too much for them. I am really surprised. i did not think I would have this hard of a time finding 2 more.
