I haven't been online as much over the last few weeks. I've been at TC a few times, and didn't have a single problem. Could it be that since I run firefox and all the adware add-ons, that I missed the bug over there? I'll bet so. It shuts down on me every once in a while, but it ins't like IE was perfect or anything.
No ads in my webmail, no ads on youtube, heck, no ads anywhere. The virus was in an ad, right?

I know just before I got infected I saw Java2 launch on my toolbar so it had something to do with an ad running Java.

My Windows desktop computer detected the virus yesterday morning...running AVG subscribed version.
I shut the computer down and rebooted into a full depth virus scan. That took almost 4 hours to complete in which that time it successfully detected and killed the gremlin. During that scan time, I freely surfed TC and other sites using my LINUX based Dell netbook.  No down time...
