Tony, what did you do to tick these people off ? Oh yeah they are the clean cut, upper class that think they are better than you. I think a cook out sounds like a killer idea, no pun intended.

That's it in a nutshell, Ms. All the email correspondence that I have had with the HOA and the ARV, I have been very articulate, correct spelling, actually sounded pretty smart. When the old lady and her retired big shot lawyer husband first laid eyes on me, they thought I was my brothers yard worker. They were SHOCKED when I told them who I was. I was very pleasant to all the people down there, until they changed their minds about allowing my building. I wanted a reason, they would only say "we don't want a metal building in here". I explained to them that every home in there now has a metal roof, most have metal porch enclosures. I had the contractor figure a cost for doing the building in lap vinyl siding. 12 grand more, so I told the ARB that I would compromise and do the front and living quarters in vinyl. The building is 180' off the road, in the middle of the woods. The front is only visible for a split second as you drive by and look down the curved driveway. The North end and the rear are totally concealed by woods. Then they said the RV garage was too big. Well, the stinking HOA rules say "No RV can be stored outside". The lawyer husband ass-hole said "You could build a nice fence to put the RV behind". I politely asked him what he thought a 12' high fence would look like? He said "that would look horrible". Yep I'm dealing with some uppity fools out there.

Unfortunately you're going to have to play nice until you get the building up and approved. If not you'll be jumping through hoops for years. Once it's up then we'll come down and throw one hell of a party. Tell Doug I said hi, hope he's doing better.

Hank, Doug is doing pretty good. The 4th knee replacement is the best one so far. He is scheduled to go in for the 3rd hip replacement in mid Feb.

I'll give you a call and check your schedule. Maybe we can swing by your place on our way to Ft. Meyers if you're going to be there. |

More from the big-shots down there. They have called a special HOA meeting for this Friday. The retired FBI supervisor, one of the ARB members that initally approved my building, has hired an attorney to represent him at the meeting. The old, cancer filled hag that doesn't like the size of the building, is bringing her attorney son to the meeting. She is recomending that he become the new attorney representing the HOA. My brother is the Pres of the HOA, but it appears they are going to try to get rid of him and put the 'retired artist" in his place. My brother took the blue-prints down to the other ARB member last night. She would'nt come out of the house and refused to look at the prints. I hate rich bastards like these people. They all think they are better than the guy that has worked his whole life with his hands. I'd bet that not a one of them has ever done an honest days work.
