Went out 3 times yesterday with the small snowblower. Gotta go do it again in a bit, after I use the roof rake on the driveway side of the house roof. The snow drift on the roof is about 3' so its gotta come down. Think I'll bring out the 2 stage blower today. Damn, just saw that it 9* and windy. Oh well.

Ken, I wish my snowblower was as big as yours. We just have a small one and this today my son has been out twice. Our biggest problem was the 4 ft of ice that the snow plow left at the end of my driveway. It took 3 trips outside. It was too damn cold to work for more than 1/2 hr at a time.

Just got a call from the schools, no school tomorrow. This from the school district that usually never cancelled school. So far they called no school last week Thurs, Fri, and this week Mon and Tues. I am sure that they are going to try to make up the 4 days somewhere. But for now, we are going to stay inside cause it is 8 degrees....with the low tonight supposed to be -15. Just a littl chilly.

Ken, how many inches of snow did you get ?

Hank, how many inches of snow did you get ?

Tony, how many inches of snow did you get ?

I am pretty sure we got around 10". I haven't actually measured, but it is close.

We got 15"-16", it's been snowing on and off today, not too heavy though. I let the dog out a few minutes ago. Instead of doing her business in the area I shoveled some of the snow off, she made her way down the hill into the snow that's up to her chin. She's 13 yrs old and she struggled trying to get back up the hill. Plowing her way through didn't work and she stopped and looked at me. Then she tried hopping up and over the snow, that didn't work and she stopped and looked at me. It's 0* out, I had slippers on and had to go out and drag her out by her collar.

We got 13" and 3' drifts. Right now the weather is -2* and windy with wind chill at -30*

In that one pic of the stuck Mail truck, my neighbors front yard is untouched so you can see about how deep the snow was.

Nancy, when we bought the 2 stage blower (around $800.00) Judy says to me "For your sake you better f-----g hope it snows this winter"........that ended up being one of the mildest winters we've had in a long time.......oh-oh. That was a few years ago and I've used it plenty since then.

It's -2* and windy here too. The swirls of snow look like little tornadoes moving across the open areas. Pretty sure it's snowing again, hard to tell with the wind blowing so hard. There's a lot blowing off the trees and roofs.

These were taken from inside the garage. The snow pile goes pack 4-5 feet and the ground slopes down so the pile is over 4'.

Henry said something to his boss on Saturday about working from home today. His boss said he needed to come in. That's just wrong, 16" of snow, temps are below 0, it's dangerous to be out there especially when he has a 100 mile trip to work and back. He can work from too and then his boss was 'sick' today and didn't go in. Henry had a hard time getting out of the sub this morning and he has a new full size 4x4 pickup. He said no way any one was getting out in a car.
