I know how that is, hoping my pushrods get here no later than Friday so I can install them and run the valves this weekend.

I went out first thing this morning and started prepping, masking, etc. Then squirted on a coat of primer. I still have to lay under it and eat dirt while I clean the bottom of the frame rails. But, the top and side are pretty much done and ready for paint.

Going to look great when you get it painted. All the hard work will pay off.

Just spent a few minutes after work installing my lifters. Damn it's hot out there! The weather app on my phone says, "real feel - 111*"

It is looking like I will have my pushrods later today, but the poly locks are another story. Those may not show until Monday, which would keep me from running the valves this weekend.

I have plenty to keep me busy, but was really hoping to have all of the parts by Saturday.

I said "screw it" and drove my car in the Berkley Cruise Fest Parade today. I don't have 3rd or 4th gear and only drive the car about 20mph, which was OK. Considering that there was a lot of traffic getting to the parade staging and then in the parade I don't even know if I stepped on the gas more than 4 times in the parade.

Had a great time with my kids and grand daughter. Tomorrow I am going to take it out to my parking spot on Woodward and 12 mile (1 1/2 from my house) and I will park it all day.
