You're going to have to drop the dash...at least partially. Not as bad as you would think.
And make sure you re-install the star washer on that switch. Clean the area on the backside of the dash where that switch goes too. That wiper circuit needs a good ground to work properly. It may be the reason the wipers are not working now which is the reason I'm assuming you're replacing the switch.
