Started the final push to get the engine bay ready for the motor to go in. Need to figure out where the postive battery clip goes that holds the cable by the motor mount area.

This is where mine is located. I don't know if it was ever removed before i got the car but it looks like the mounts have never been off. I hope this helps.

I'm going to be replacing the carpet, shifter boot/bezel and installing 3 point front seat belts this weekend. If I have the time I also want to replace the plain chrome valve covers and air cleaner top with ones with a red bow tie and black Chevrolet on them.

where did you get that 3 point seatbelt from? i was thinking about getting something but i wasnt sure on the safety of it

I got them from Retrobelt, I saw an ad for them on chevelletech.

thanks for the link! as far as what i did to the chevelle today i finally got the trunk looking almost stock i ran out of the splatter paint i hope my local stores have more if they do i can finish and put it the the way i want it and be done with the rear of my car for now

I packed all our stuff in the trunk for the return trip home in the morning ,but I did get to drive the Chevelle all day today.

finally the trunk looks like factory! just finished after 5 cans of splatter paint its done! now to let it dry and run the wiring harness to all of the lights and stuff cant wait!

Dropped mine off at the speedshop for some tuning and managed to squeeze 13 more horsepower out of it on the dyno. Not done but she is putting over 300 to the pavement which isn't bad out of a 350 running mechanical everything.
