Post Disc Brake Conversion

Hello all! Well I think I'm about ready to try the old drum to disc conversion on the 70 Chevelle. I've been searching a few sites and I really want the best look and bang for my buck. Does any have any recommendations of a certain brand or website that I can check out (looking for the complete setup)? Everyone says I should go with atleast a 12" setup. I'm pretty sure many of you have done this before so any info would be appreciated. Thanks

I've done 2 sets of the basic conversion kit from stainless steel brake corp. There are a few different kits available depending on what you want. I found the kits very easy to install and they work very well. One set on a 70 and the other on a 71. The kit I have is designed to fit inside a 14" rim but the specs are all on their site. Hope this helps.

Being as youre in N. Carolina you should call Ausleys chevelle parts as it might save you some money on shipping and Roger or his family are good to deal with. There is another company out of Ohio that is reasonable too but I cant think of their name at the moment but will look for it for you.

Wilmington NC here. I did the "Right Stuff" disc conversion on my 72. Only thing I didnt like was the caliper brackets seemed weak. But I got a great deal on the kit. If you shop the different companys offering a kit. You will find that most of them all are selling the same kit from the same manufacturer. Right Stuff Detailing co. Here is an example.http://www.buybrakes.com/right-stuff/

Right Stuff Detailing out of Ohio is who I was thinking of but Ausleys may still beat the price due to shipping. The set I sold was from them but I got it for less at a local vendor here in Georgia due to volume buying.
