Welcome and I look forward to hearing what comes from this post . I know you can buy a new 6 speed auto from an aftermarket vendor but Ithink I remember reading they were about $10K .

I have yet to see or hear anything about adapting them to older engines. But, I am sure it can be done. Maybe check with Street and Performance and TCI. Those are the two that come to mind right now.

The TCI 6x is the only 6 speed auto I know of and it isn't cheap. It is based on a 4L80 if I recall correctly.
