Default Remote mirror question

Ok, so I can use a little help from the Chevelle gurus on here! I have a 64 Malibu wagon that came with a "remote mirror." Well, I need a new one due to the mirror head is missing all together. OPG has them but it shows that they are for 67. So, my question is, did they actually have them in 64 and mine was added later?

According to this manual it looks like the remote mirror was an option on the 64. Hope this helps.

I see mirrors listed for 64 to 65. I would think the mirror would be different and the main concern would be if the bottom has the correct angle for your door. Plus the look would be wrong for your year.

Would you happen to know who sells them for 64-65? The latest OPG catalog I have doesn't offer them until 67.

Make sure you have this plate on yours.

The 64 to 65 mirror may not be reproduced. And if you find an original they go for a high price.
