Default alt bracket not going in place

ok so last i was playing around with my chevelle and i wanted to put my new alt bracket on but i think i did something wrong. or i have the wrong one tell me what you think please?





so do i have one for a SBC or for a BBC? I ordered it from northeast chevelle since he is kind of local to me. and i told him a 69 chevelle ss with a big block in it

You need a stud bolt on your intake for the alternator bracket. Not sure if this will help. Bracket looks correct.

Ya, your bottom bracket is on upside down. Just need the bolt and spacer/sleeve to go through lower bracket and alt. The upper bracket normally sits down on a stud in the intake. All the others are bolts in the intake except that one. However, you have an aluminum intake and they are sometimes thicker than the steel ones so you may have to use a bolt. I know if I try to use a stud it lifts the bracket too much and it won't line up properly.

yeah i caught that i was more worried about the top bracket but ray was right yet again

That's looking really good.

Don't forget to put a washer under your top bolt that you use to tighten the tension up with.
