The brake booster can be moved to anywhere that has vacuum. More often they are mounted to the manifold. There is a plugged vacuum port on the manifold for it. Just have to get or make the correct fitting there. I say make I have a huge junk bin full of that kind of stuff to root through.
The vacuum pull off for the choke isn't necessary either It works fine without it.
So do what you need to to make it work. Brakes just need vacuum, just make sure the choke is adjusted once the pull off is eliminated if that is what the issue is.
Wish I could be there in person. We could fix what ever in 5-10 minutes.
