Default Firewall seal/grommet?

Is the firewall seal for the accelerator cable, 70 Chevelle, molded into the cable? I don't have any kind of seal around mine and can't find one listed in any of the supplier catalogs.

Car had a Holley when I bought it. I figured it was on the cable because no one sells them.

I'm guessing mine would be very similar to yours, being a '72...

It looked just like the one in the attached pics above, on the cable, with 2 tabs that held it in place at the bulkhead. It was broke, so I replaced it with a universal throttle cable setup from autozone. It had a threaded bulkhead fitting that the housing slid through, very nice. It isn't going anywhere now, with locks and flats on both sides, and for like $15, you can't go wrong unless you don't put aftermarket pieces on your ride.

Thanks for info Jake. If the throttle cable fits and works I'm ok with that. My car is so far from original already that it won't make any difference.

Sure Hank...

Here are a few pics. It had a really sharp braided steel housing, and came out pretty good. Spectre performance is the name of the company. I got the accompanying bracket too. My old one might have worked but I noticed that this other one had a feature mine did not, a little bolt and stop nut to keep it out away from the carb, and keep the cables coming in straight.

One thing...make sure you put some threadlock on the set screw that holds the cable into the linkage that goes over the pin on the carb's throttle linkage.
