Default what is this L on my trim tag?

So I've looked at other trim tags and nobody has a decoder that will tell me what this L means under the 52 which is the garnet red that my car was. does this mean that it is a special order car? [email protected]

As I mentioned in this thread, (http://chevelleforum.net/showthread.php?t=1464) nobody really knows what the L is for, but it's pretty consistent that Kansas-built SS cars had the L, and Kansas-built Malibus did not.

Better on your trim tag than your forehead.

I think the "L" signifies "Luke" ... GM put out a few "personalized" models and one would think you ended up with one ..... mine says "R"!

If the number that follows the L is a 7 then that is a whole different story ... L7!
