I would suspect contamination in your lines some where. What brake is coming on?

Are they coming on without touching the pedal at all, or just not releasing after they've been used?
If they're coming on without touching the pedal at all, I'd suspect a bad vacuum booster. If they're not releasing after they've been used, I'd suspect a bad brake hose that's swollen shut.

Make sure the rod from the brake pedal to the master cylinder is in the right hole and not binding up against the firewall.
