Default Begging u.Pleeease help with 9 1/8" clutch source for 1

This sounds simple on the surface and there are several listed at Napa, Autozone,Carquest etc etc but all of them come in with a 10" pressure plate and mine is a 9 1/4 pressure plate. 10" Won't fit, can't change to larger 166 tooth flywheel (mine is a 153 tooth).

Application is a 1966 4 door Malibu with a 194 1bbl carb, and granny shift 3 speed. 82k actual miles and original 9 1/8" clutch and 9 1/4" pressure plate,153 tooth flywheel.

Spent the whole day hunting, having parts picked up that all came in to large, had multiple parts men all with 40 plus years of experience and no one has been able to help yet.

Went to one little local speed shop and that gentleman called out the 153 tooth flywheel and all other specs before I hardly gave him any details and then went to some old books (yes some people still have books instead of computers with wrong info for all ha ha).

Anyhow we are going to see if a clutch kit for a 265 Chevy will work.It said in the book all my specs so he said it was worth a try and wouldn't cost me anything to look.

If this doesn't work does anyone have any idea? Have got to get "Barney" running.

Thanks in advance for any help.

John
