Headlight switch replacement 64 malibu
Anybody know how to remove frozen retaining nut holding switch in dash panel ?
This is the nut with the two dimples. I have tried penetrating oil and a small punch and ball peen hammer but it will not budge. If I have to drill out the retaining nut where can I get another one ? Thank you. Local DQ is now open for the season and its warm enough to put the top down and Grand kids are visiting for spring break, yahoo.

That sucks. Does a new switch come with the nut?

The new switch that I got from Napa does not come with a new nut. Looking at Year 1 catalog on-line the replacement nut they show that is like the one I am fighting with they say is for a 66 Chevelle so I gues at some point in time the switch has already been replaced. So, I guess I will order the new nut (for a 66) and the nut removal/install tool. I am getting out the drill and looking for a sharp drill bit.
